  • Atheism is Forever

     

    Many blogs and other modes of communication are filling with people who say they used to be atheists and now have found Christ. This is ridiculous, for if someone had done the research to become an atheist in the first place, it would fly in the face of common sense and reason to return to fantasy land.

     

    With this as a basis it is fair to conclude that none of these so-called return to Christ episodes were real. It is obvious that these people are doing what is called "lying for Christ" to gain converts for their empty and ridiculous religion.

    Either that or they have turned their minds completely off.

  • The Confusion of Indifference

    Is the alligator evil because it brings down the water buffalo? Does the wolf do a bad deed when it attacks the deer? Recent Typhoons have killed many thousands of people, earthquakes, tsunami have done the same. Does planet earth hate us? Is planet earth evil because of these natural disasters?

    The alligator or wolf are not committing murder. The act they engage in is of the utmost innocence. They are indifferent to the needs of the prey. Survival is the main concern. Eat, and live, starve, and die.

    Nature too, is indifferent. There is no consciousness planning to murder thousands daily. Weather develops due to heat and moisture differences around the globe. The only driving force is the heat, and sorry, heat can’t think. No consideration of living beings is made because there is nothing to consider them.

    Good and Evil do exist. The minds of humans contain both. Both originated and dwell there. Yes, humans are the origin of good and evil, without humans there is no consciousness to even contemplate on the meaning of either.

    Outside of humanity there is no intrinsic Good, or Evil.

  • The Golden Compass

    I just saw the movie "The Golden Compass". I was told this was an anti- religion movie and if you were listening it surely turned out to be one.

    It suggested, in the movie, that a conflict were to soon be taking place where the right to think freely was at stake. The old steadfast order was trying to maintain the status quo. In the movie it was called the Magistrate, but it was obvious that it depicted the religion of today. Especially Catholicism.

    The Magistrate was trying very hard to stifle free thought. You were expected to think a certain way, the ‘right’ way, and if you varied you faced punishment, even up to the penalty of death.

    I enjoyed the movie, I hope the sequel goes well, if there is one. I hope the sequel goes well in real life as well.

  • Truth

     

    Why are people so afraid of death? Accepting that after this life there is nothing is so hard. Refusing the fact that originally they came from nothing, and will return there.

    Perhaps it’s because our brains are so amazing. Crafted by millions of years of evolution our brains are capable of creating an illusion so complete, a singular personality so unique, that people cannot accept the fact that one day that which they call "me" will be no longer.

    When I was but a child I was introduced to death by the demise of my Great Grandmother. I remember crying and shouting "I don’t want to die". At the first indication that my existence was not eternal I was shocked. Life was good, as a child. No worries; eat, sleep, play. I wanted it to last forever.

    No mistakes about it, if an eternal life potion was suddenly to be fabricated, I would be the first in line. Existence is in my mind, better than no existence.

    Accepting the inevitable end of self was difficult. Imagine, no more me. I can understand why some people prefer to believe in a fairy tale. Fear alone can explain this.

    I once heard someone say "Growing old isn’t for sissies". This is true. It takes great courage to accept your mortality.

  • Feminist Ideals Bearing Fruit

     

    I see that men are still being asked to make the ultimate sacrifice for this nation. This is despite the fact that men have lost all special treatment or privileges in society. They are required to sign up for any possible future conflicts requiring a draft, whereas,feminist  women, who demand equality, are happy to have themselves excluded from such dangers. Yes, a few do suffer from the horrors of war, but only if the enemy is able to go behind the lines and take out supply or support structures. When they do suffer such a fate the news media makes it seem as if they are the only ones fighting in the conflict.

    However, not only have men suffered a demotion at the hands of feminists, they are being systematically dumbed  down by an act initiated by the Bill Clinton administration under pressure from feminists. The so-called "Gender Equity Act" is responsible. As seen, this act is misnamed. Equality is not what is guaranteed.

    Teachers have been directed to  give concentrated attention to female students. The time has to come from somewhere, so male students will be neglected.  As if learning were not already difficult for male students who usually begin life behind females intellectually, now they will have even a more difficult time.

    Females are being taught to be more aggressive, vulgar, and repulsive. In short, they are being taught to be men. There is a difference, however, female aggressiveness is not natural and must be learned. A conscious decision has to be made to behave in a certain aggressive manner. A males aggressiveness is all hormonal. I can understand a man going off and committing atrocities, but when a woman does it, it’s a decision. A man lands in prison for his missteps but a woman usually receives a sentence of much less duration.  I think since a woman commits such acts by conscious decision she should receive the harsher sentence.

    I won’t hold my breath, waiting for justice.

  • A Word to the Wary

     

    There is a woman posing as an atheist. She is not. Her desire is to limit or shutdown web sites written by atheists.

    This almost happened to me. She meticulously picks through your writings and twists them to make it seem as if your desire is to decimate the world.

    Just a warning to those who are contacted by this woman, select your friends carefully. All are not what they seem.

  • Middle Ages Man shows up After Hundreds of Years

     

    Amazingly, after hundreds of years, a man from the middle ages has shown up in the United States. Yes, unbelievably, dressed in garments reflecting the religious belief in rituals at the time, this man has been invited to the White House. Remarkably, this visit has taken place, and indeed, this antique of a bygone era has been treated as a head of state.

    Even though this man espouses religious doctrine totally adverse to human well-being, and which has caused countless deaths and turmoil throughout the ages, he claims to be a man of peace. It is indeed a wonder that the man does not explode simply from the forces within his body that are in conflict.

    Nevertheless, there were many in the White House, who, dreaming of the wonderful times that mankind endured during the Dark Ages, longingly hope for a return to those days gone by.

  • Think

    One thing you have to keep in mind when you decide to come out of the closet with your atheist views is that you cannot be affected by what other people think.

    Even those who claim to be atheists may just be using the cloak of that title to gain some margin of authority over you, yes, just as the religious use that facade.

    I am not an activist. My views are just that. Now, if I were to become dictator of the world, that could change I suppose. Total power is totally corrupting, you know.

  • What the….?

    Ever since I began my exploration into atheism one thing I have noticed. I have been exposed to more religion by atheists than I ever suffered before. They seem to dwell on the topic. Why do I need to know about religion when I consider it no more important than the stories by the brothers Grimm?

    I have read that it is so I can do battle with these ignorant people, but this presumes that I am inclined to do so. How can anything be accomplished when these people know the truth already but insist on believing the myth. They will never change their minds.

    It is better to fight the battle for the minds of the young. Those who have not been exposed should be allowed to mature to a point where they can look at the information and decide for themselves. As it is they are mind-washed into believing when they are extremely pliable.

    However, if we are to maintain a "free" country, this too is not a likely scenario to be experienced.
