Well, it seems ‘American Atheists’ is in trouble. A humongous disagreement between the former president and affiliate organizations have left the group in chaos. I guess this is to be expected when you have a group wherein every single individual is an independent thinker.

Whereas conformity is easy in a religious organization, wherein everyone is forced to believe the same, freedom is harder to manage. It’s hard to go in one direction when no one is pulling the cart in the same direction.

I would rather have this chaos than be forced to march in lock-step with the group, even if it means a break-up into smaller groups.
